What is ron powlus?

Ron Powlus is a former American football player who played as a quarterback. He is best known for his collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame, where he set numerous school passing records and was a two-time team captain.

Powlus was highly touted coming out of high school and was considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the country. He committed to Notre Dame and became the starting quarterback as a freshman in 1994. Powlus went on to have a successful career at Notre Dame, setting school records for passing yards, touchdowns, and completions.

After his collegiate career, Powlus was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons in the NFL, primarily as a backup quarterback, before retiring from professional football.

After his playing career, Powlus transitioned into coaching, working as an assistant coach at various colleges, including Notre Dame. He currently serves as the associate athletic director for football at the university.
